According to a report by the Financial Times, SIX Group is exploring the creation of a cryptocurrency trading platform in Europe, attempting to enter the market dominated by established digital asset companies such as Binance, OKX, and Coinbase.

SIX Group is considering leveraging its reputation and Switzerland's advanced cryptocurrency laws to attract large traditional investors who are increasingly interested in digital asset trading. This Swiss group, owned by 120 banks, operates an independent digital exchange that has listed 9 digital bonds issued by institutions including UBS and the Lugano municipal government since 2018.
